This book is about a girl named Kat who has a younger sister named Hannah and Kat’s dog Cheddarwho gets out of the backyard and runs across the road and when Kat calls him over when he starts to cross the road  crash he gets hit by a car and has to go to the vet.

One of the most memorable moments is when Cheddar gets out of the bake yard and gets hit by a car and when Kat stiles a bike.

This book is just right for someone who likes a little bit of sadness, funny, no pictures and a good chapter book.

Making Waves, By: Randi Reisfeld H.B. Gilmour

This book is about 3 girls. Emily, Jenna and Lj. The three best friends in the world until one day when a girl named Aubrey comes to the group. I didn’t know if they would but they did. It was an okay choice. I know it was an okay choice because Aubrey misses EVERTHING! She misses movies, b-days and babysitting when it was her idea. Let me tell you more about that sinareo. [But in the next paragraph.]

A scary part was when Emily had to babysit 2 horrible terrifying 2 year old twins all alone. If there was a scratch or bump or bruise on them she wouldn’t forget it. Aubrey had a no show again, Poor Emily! An amazing part was when Aubrey, Jenna and Lj did a song from Hair Spray for the swim club talent show what was it called oh yah ‘’you can’t stop the beat’’ THEY WON! I loved that song. Emily and her crush [Tyler] did a song from the movie ‘’Grease.’’ It was the song when they where at the lunch table and talking about there summer. I also loved that song.

If you like a bit of mystery parts, amazing parts and crazy parts then you will LOVE this book. This is an excellent book.

The English Roses “Friends For Life”

The book The English Roses Friend for Life by Madonna is about five friends from England that formed a club called the English roses. The book shows there personalities and favorite foods, games and activities they like to do all together. They all have different personalities because Binahs personality is classy and serious and Amy’s is Fashionable and stylish and Grace is sporty and loves music and there are Nicole and charlotte who are both very polite but Charlotte is a little bit more. It shows there hopes and dreams and who they want to meet and want to be like. Grace wants to meet David Beckham who is her idol. All of the other girls have hopes and dreams but  I can’t write them all. The book is filled with quizzes and tips about homework and lots of other fun activities. They have embarrassing moments and there is a quiz at the back to see which English rose you are. The best part is there just like you!

Some of the most memorable moments were when I read that Grace’s idol is David Beckham  just like mine. Also when the quiz showed that I was just like Amy who is a fashion queen. I also thought that it was kind of weird was that Binahs guilty pleasure was hot bubble baths and that Nicole’s guilty pleasure was watching episodes of Little Rascals and Shirley Temple movies.

This book is just right for someone who enjoys girl stuff and different personalities also if they want to start a club this is a great book to read.

My overall recommendation is Double excellent because it’s a book that you want to find more about and it is really good for girls to read.

A read-alike to this book is basically all of the other English Roses books because there is a new adventure every time.

Because of Winn-Dixie

Because of Winn-Dixie.

My review is about Winn-Dixie. (a fictional chapter book.)

By: Kate Dicamillo .

My book is about a girl named Opal and her dad moved and Opal’s dad told her to go get food and she found a dog that she named Winn-Dixie.  She had fun with Winn-Dixie and she even made some friends like Otis that gave her a job at the pet store so she can buy a collar for Winn-Dixie, their ’s also sweetie pie , two brothers , Gloria Dump , Miss . Fanny and Amanda. Otis gave her a job at the pet store so she can buy a collar for Winn-Dixie.

Most memorable moments is when a funny parrot at the pet store went on Winn-Dixie’s head and said “Doggy, Doggy”. And another funny part was when Winn-Dixie ate most of the candy that Miss.Franny gave them and when Opal found he ate most of it he burped then smiled. (Ha, Ha, Ha.)

This book is just right for someone who enjoys dogs/animals , music , friendly people and different kinds of stories.

OVERALL RECOMMENDATION: GREAT!

I gave this book this recommendation because mostly everyone loves dogs , it has some exciting parts in it but there might be some boring parts in it and it might look boring but it’s actually a really good book and I really like it.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

My review is about a boy named Greg who receives a diary from his parents. He witnesses many problems and adventures during his school year, luckily he has his journal to tell you everything.

This book is by Jeff Kinney. It is a fictional chapter book.

The most memorable moments were when Greg took a test in his reading/writing class to tell whether he was in the easy reading group or the hard group for reading groups. A week later his class got their books, they didn’t tell them which group you were in, but it was obvious: you were either in the group book Bink Says Boo or book group Einstein as a Child. So you could easily tell if you were in the easy group of the hard group. Another memorable moment was when Greg’s little brother was watching TV and he had to go to school, so he dumped the rest of his cereal in his potty!

This book is just right for someone who enjoys silly books like Captain Underpants. My overall recommendation is excellent! I gave it this recommendation because I LOVE humorous books and I like looking at the little comics/ illustrations. I also liked it because I could relate to Greg a lot.

This book is great and I hope you will read it!

Reaching for Sun

The book that I read is called Reaching for Sun by Tracie Vaughn Zimmer. It’s a fictional chapter book. This book is about a girl named Josie who has a disability called cerebral palsy where her muscles aren’t as strong so they can’t move kind of like ice. This book shows how Josie stands up and tells everybody she wants to be treated just like everybody else. Josie shows to her mom that she doesn’t need to go to clinics and nobody is very different from her. Josie’s mom is not agreeing with her at all and Josie is not very happy about it.

Some of the most memorable moments are when Josie meet Jordan and became very good friends and their friendship grew. The second most memorable moment was when Josie was forced by her mom to go to a clinic for her disability and Josie said she would go to the clinic even though she would just skip it and go play with Jordan. Another memorable moment was when Jordan Went to science camp for the whole summer and Josie was left all alone because Jordan was her only friend. There were lots of memorable moments but that’s all I can write for now.

This book is just right for someone who enjoys reading others thoughts and likes to read consistently.

My overall recommendation for Reaching for Sun is great because for somebody who likes to be in somebody’s mind it really tells what she is thinking the whole entire time throughout the book. I also think that this book feels like you’re in another world and doing things differently then you usually would in your daily life and everybody needs change and this book is great for it! A read-alike is the Judy Blume series.
